Vintique Motors is pleased to present this beautiful 1974 BMW R90S 900!

Weighing just 474lbs it certainly brought the performance that BMW wanted enabling it to achieve 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds and surpass 120mph. It also featured a five-speed gearbox with the shift mechanism revised from R75 models and dual front disc brakes with frame-mounted cable-actuated master cylinder handled stopping duties. The R90S was also a great racing bike and dominated the inaugural 1976 AMA Superbike season. The first race of the season was held at Daytona International Speedway with two R90S's finishing first and second as well as the Reg Pridemore won the overall championship on a R90S.

This example has recently completed a complete nut and bolt restoration and looks outstanding in its original shade of Black and Silver Smoke. Before the restoration the bike was in good shape and had approximately 47,500 miles, in which, the odometer was said to not have been reset during the restoration and currently shows 47,887 original miles. The restoration was completed approximately 6 years ago and has been ridden approximately 400 miles since after joining a collection based in Traverse City, MI in 2017. We acquired it from this collection in September 2022 and proceeded to refresh it with a $1,400 service at Nostalgic Motoring in Auburn Hills MI as well as a new battery. It is offered as a turn-key example ready for the road or to join your collection.
