It's so clear for me now, after she dumped Mod bc he was way too clingy and emotional just like Evan, they made this song after she got her divorce and they were probably trying to star over(for some reason they never dated officially but they were together some times, it's something anyone could see), she even called him to open her concerts, he was always saying how amazing and talented she is during the concerts and even bringing her flowers, Avril hates being loved like that, she likes the bad guys who can't respect her, she should get a therapist bc I'm sure Evan always loved her and he would do anything for her, now he is married and I see she traumatized him, he is not the same person since they broke up for the last time. It's sad bc they were perfect together.
