The #chicagobears along with the rest of the #nfl had to trim rosters to 53 as the league wide roster cutdown day took place. The #bears made the decision to keep just 2 QBs, #calebwilliams and #tysonbagent. The Bears and #tennesseetitans open the season on the lakefront a week from Sunday.

The #kelcebrothers made news today, reaching an agreement with #amazon to distribute their #newheights podcast for a 3-year, $100 million dollar deal.

The #chicagocubs are making moves, shipping out #drewsmyly and bringing up younger arms. #kap wants to know if it’s a sign that they’re not trying to win the rest of the year. 🍕🍕🍕🍕 on the line. #justinsteele is on the bump at the #pittsburghpirates.

Kap, I haven't agreed with how this bullpen has been handled the last 2 seasons. Jed's Makeshift Bullpen has worked but only when he had Paid Top Closers. Didn't do that this year. Is Heyder doing any good in L.A?

Cubs a bigger disappointment than the Sox. Now, that they are all but out of the race they are playing well and thumping the ball. Couldn't do it when games were on the line. We expected 100 + losses from White Sox, I predicted 103. After they were eliminated, the play didn't improve. No talent across the roster. What is Counsel deliver that David Ross couldn't deliver? Bears all in. Had a fantastic run of draft picks over three seasons, and now we are but 12 days away from learning if Poles put it all together in a winning package.

I think it’s definitely salary. Neris, Bote and Smyly were all making too much money for what they were doing. Making sure to avoid allowing Neris to pick up his option was huge too. Hope some of these guys can make a difference on a postseason roster. Plus, Hector Neris and Jason Heyward are now teammates!

Yes, they are trying to about 2026! There is some good Cub News. It appears the PCA has arrived and that Amaya is a real MLB hitter and receiver. This is excellent news. Smyly and Neris didn't do much for them though both a competent if somewhat older hurlers. Sorry Bote never got the chance that he deserved. I wonder if he finds his way back to the Cubs organization in another capacity. The Cubs have a roster of good players. But to win, you have to have a couple of great players on offense and lordy lordy, what about a Bullpen. Still, we can be thankful that we are not Sox fans.
