WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use YouTubes lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and YouTube deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

Never been a big fan of San Martin... but that blue version is an absolute banger! Perfect size, movement, AR sapphire, sunburst dial, and looks all around! The logo is not my favorite, but I'd buy if I didn't have too many watches already :P

Obviously the success and hype of the Furlan Marri has induced others to follow. In this case that's a good thing because the San Martin is beautifully finished and the pricing is excellent. My choice would be the Salmon dial version. My only complaint is no running second hand, why not do away with the 24 hour dial. Great video as always Gary.👍⌚😎

San Martin has jumped on the bandwagon now too, have they? Hruodland, Sugess, Escapement Time and Mysterious Code are all now offering these colourful mecha quartz chronos. Pagani will no doubt soon follow suit. Oh well, imitation is the highest form of praise as the cliché has it.

The best Furlan Marri homage is the one from Sugess. I own the ivory dial one; Seagull ST1901 manual wind movement for only $230. Puts this San Martin to bed like a baby.

I’ve had the blue one in my cart for a few weeks. Absolutely beautiful 38mm is wearable, but small on my huge wrist. I would love a 41mm. That would be a no brainer.

I can understand why Mecha-Quartz watches have become popular, there are just more quality quartz pieces on the market these days and as more people get into the hobby and become accustom to what to look for in a well finished watch the actual movement comes into question. As much a we can appreciate mechanicals and autos living with one is another thing, Teddy B did a vid on things that can damage a watch and the majority of them were specific to autos, that and the lack of accuracy, features and higher price just doesn't float my boat anymore'
As much as i love my autos and the the Sea-gull movement in particular i choose a VK for my chrono.
