Minecraft: Mountain Base Tutorial (how to build)

In this Minecraft Tutorial I'll show you how to live your Minecraft life to it's fullest potential with an easily customisable Mountain Base! This house features a giant water elevator to get inside the base and up to the rooftop garden. It also features a nice balcony, smelting, crafting, storage and more.

I have used quite a few of your builds even as a bedrock player. My biggest issue I seem to run into at times is I use alot of Redstone farms in my base rather then having just a pretty base I keep mine practical as well. Do you have any bigger builds over compact? I love how well you describe your tutorials.

So, hi buddy!
I found your channel recently, cause of the drug-builds xD (They look really nice though!!)
And I saw a couple of your videos and you don't really seem to know how you should do drop downs. So I got a few tips, if you don't mind:

The magma-block is a cool mechanic and so, but very slow and you need ages to get out (cause of sneeking in the water)
You can make two types of dropshoot that will ALWAYS keep you safe and make you exit quick
- You can do it, as you did in this video, with the little puddle BUT you put a chest in there, which makes it waterlocked. Chests aren't full blocks, so you wont dip down in the water but it will still negate your fall-damage. Further you are out of the water enough, so you wont get movement-penaltys from the water AND you'll have a fresh chest if you need one
- The other one, that look a lot cleaner imo is that you put a shield three or four blocks obove the ground and then place water on it. It doesn't matter how much you fall, the one water will safe you from hitting the ground to hard an explode like a pinata. IMPORTANT is, that between the water and the ground it has to be AT LEAST 3 blocks, if you only put it in two blocks above, you'll die (At least I'm pretty sure that's how it works xD)
- One extra is to put a slime-block in the ground. If you hold jump (spacebar) while falling, you wont bounce on the slime-block but it will still negate your fall-damage. That's how I do drop-shoots in the nether

There are other wierd designs you could use, like for example a 1x2 or 1x3 dropshoot with ladders or smth, but they usually don't look that pretty, take a lot of space and are ... too easy to die in, when you don't know what to do. That MIGHT be funny, if you are playing on a server with friends and you loot their corpses at the bottom of your elevator, but when it come to functionality, the second one I described, with the water above ground, is my personal favorite (and the one with the chest I use for mines)

That was very good and extremely helpful but there was no nether portal init so I added a nether portal in front the enchanting table so that if you walk throw the portal you enter the enchanting room
