1.Zybooks up until Chapter 2, using Obsidian to take notes, also used W3 School SQL lessons
2.Caleb Curry's Database Design Video up until Cardinality.
3.Decomplexify's Database Normalization
4.Took PA Failed, took note of all the questions I missed
5.Used the Database Management doc found under "Course Chatter", to help focus in on whats important in the class. And find out why I got questions wrong in the PA
6.Take the OA and BREATH!!!

THANK YOU!! I am on this cyber degree journey through WGU and really appreciate your honesty, pep talks, and information. It is so easy to feel so down and dumb with some of these courses.. especially when you don't have an IT background. I'm subscribed now and will check out your other videos. Thank you for posting!

I also stopped at the end of chapter 2 in the Zybooks and am currently in the middle of Caleb Curry's tutorial videos myself. Glad to know I'm on the right track.

Great breakdown on this course.
I passed the PA, then failed the OA. I was very close to passing though.
I've been studying this week for my reattempt at the OA.
You hit the nail on the head. The course is structured very poorly.
Thanks for your time in making this video.

When I started at WGU, after my financial requirements were met, I started with the pre-assessments for the first three terms of the BSCS degree plan, before speaking with my mentor about a consistent study plan. I passed all pre-assessments while not having prior experience in the field, or any field for that matter. Although I passed with exemplary scores, and the mentor was sort of impressed, I do not recommend doing this because those pre-assessments are important for your instructors to gauge where you are after studying the material. Also, the course material is subject to change, and taking the pre-assessment locks you into the course material, even if changes were made to the curriculum.

I'm a month in now and only on chapter 3 in zybooks, I spend at least 4 hours a day and it's taken me that long.

I've been in this class for 2 weeks now and got to chapter 4 in the zybooks. I feel like I'm forgetting each section every time I move on to the next topic and the material itself is SOOOO dry!. I'm gonna give your method a try and see if that will get me through. I've got 8 weeks left on this term and this is my last class. I wanted to get it finished with enough time to add 1 extra class in for the term but at the rate D426 is going, I'm gonna be cutting it close I think.

Good video, thanks for the tips. I do recommend lowering the background music a bit, it's a little hard to hear you sometimes. Other than that, very helpful!

Young man, I know your intent was good, but please re-upload the video with no music so that people can focus on the information you are disseminating.

Definitely recommend not chewing gum, smacking your lips while talking. It is very hard to concentrate over that disgusting noise.
