Grey and Brady discuss: a new, _lightning-fast_ corner, overtourism, a conspiracy theory confirmed, NPCC, CCC, peanuts, and a call for your Christmas Questions.
He is singing after breaking his foot?! — This will do it

I snorted hearing of Grey say "weaponized peanuts" 🤣

In the peanut play, was there scenes where something was "gliding on ice" or something similar? Powdered nuts are sometimes used to create a slippery surface. A friend (who's allergic to peanuts) once got breathing problems after getting near such a mix.

For the first time in years I am actually behind when it comes to listening to HI. What a wonderful feeling! Brady and Grey have been churning them out lately haven’t they 😂

1:22:55 I'm actually listening to this in March, and this just made me do a double take, haha

Brady, are you aware of "Titanic: Honor and Glory"? It's a video game project that aims to recreate the Titanic digitally, like every aspect of the ship and the sinking. Their Youtube channel has a lot of good stuff, most interestingly real-time sinking animations

Let's pretend Grey's plane had actually crashed and listen to the ad at 58:16

We have like three names for "Rock Paper Scissors" over here.
Zing Zang Zong,
Schnick Schnack Schnuck,
and the obvious one ;)
At least the two names above are less biased than "Rock Paper Scissors" - at least on paper...

I know there are a lot of people nowadays in Big Sur, but there are plenty of smaller but nearly identical trails nearby, if you know where to look.

Certain airports do publish their frequencies on the LiveATC website...

When I travel, I rarely take pictures of myself with others, as a souvenir, but never of myself alone since my purpose for a picture is to own that cliché and tell myself: this is mine.
I prefer to take a nice picture that I can put on my desktop, while pictures with family members will only be like: "yeah... a picture of us... at this place."
If I take one awesome picture with a very pretty frame, tourist or not, I am happy.
*I also take pictures of textures, sculptures for references and other things for work since I want to be a 3D modeler. Two birds one stone.

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.

i think that the problem with peanut alergie is the mass hysteria going from the US outwards. For peanute allergy to get triggered by inhalation there is need for the protein specifically to be spread to the air of a closed area which is not something happening simply by having someone eat a peanut or a peanutbutter sandwich in the same room. Insect stings can trigger anaphylactic shock to around 3% of the people that get stung. Thankfully people don't panic as much for insects as for peanuts.

Already listened to to this and it's great

Does anyone know where one could find those backgrounds that are always on the podcast? Videos that move and are kinda soothing without any action or so...

Hmmm, if I were to send a topic, I'd ask, "How do you feel about licking an envelope to seal it?".
If only to have that hover over them for the rest of the card reading.

It would be fun to quiz Brady on two letter state abbreviations that start with "M".

I think if parks and museums and such would do virtual reality tours overcrowding could be not so much a problem as more people could see these beautiful places from home.
