Free Workshop Improvement Ideas - Part 1 - Shop Organization, Sorting Wood Rack, Scrap Wood Storage

I thus had an extreme urge to make some shop organization and omptimization and I could finally get myself some free time to do it. So, if you have been following me, you know that I have mainly been using pallet wood for the moment. So I decided to use them this time to make workshop improvements, starting with some storages. I have to say that it's quick and dirty workshop improvement projects but they will provide me efficiency and comfort. So here, I give you a quick shop tour so you can see by yourself the mess that it was. Then, I especially made a sorting wood rack, a scrap wood container and some wood sheet racks. I tried to keep it mobile when I could using casters. On the part 2, I will continue on this topic making some other improvements that are not storages.

Burning those blocks would keep you nice and warm during the colder months. I made a small woodstove from a small propane tank. I think maybe something a bit larger would work for you. That would make a good video too! The shop looks much nicer. Great job!

I love a shop organization video that is in a shop that actually looks like a shop first of all but organization how it actually ends up going for most of us as you said "quick and dirty" lol I loved this it was some reality on a YouTube video that's always so refreshing especially in the woodworking and shop vids these days I had forgot that I'm definitely not the only person with an ocean of sawdust wood scraps and random shop madness happening in between actual woodworking and I Kno exactly where it all is and it works just fine yeah I'd love to fix this or that whatever but everything is full of or covered in a dust layer lol we actually look like this in reality not the "dust free" YouTube surgical room crazy new age festool packed shops on now ...popaw always said the most beautiful work always comes out of the messiest looking shops and the beautiful shops that remain pristine with brand new looking tools must belong to people who dream of woodworking and throw money at a shop thinking it's their hobby but haven't quite figured the woodworking part out yet just the shop building part because folks that are making stuff out of wood don't need much stuff or space and they still manage to make anything and everything except a clean shop lol actually I'd make stuff with janky broken tools and scrap wood just to get of having to clean the shop if that was my only other option
