Had a little fun run against this Stage 3 Roush. Was hoping for the black one, but didn't mind the run I got! He was a cool guy, but damn that supercharger is loud!

The Omni GLH is by far the #1 sleeper car ever produced.
I used to have one back in high school, and there was nothing sweeter than watching the sheer disbelief of Mustang owners and the kids with their tricked out ricers after they get smoked by my hideous black 80s hatchback car that looks like it has 2 hamsters running on a wheel underneath the hood.
Cant tell you how many times I would eat Mustangs alive and then the drivers would always pull up to me at the next stop light and want to know what the hell I had done to my engine..
And then theyd shit their pants after I told them that my little Omni was stock and came from the factory ready to spank Mustangs and Camaros.
And then I'd have to find a parking lot to pull over to so they could see what's under the hood and talk to me about the amazing sleeper that was the Omni GLH.
Good memories in that thing.
I'd buy another one in a hot second if I could afford the insane price tags of any that are still driveable and in good shape.
My ultimate find would be the Shelby GLHS Omni, but good luck ever finding one of those.
The last GLH I found for sale near me that was in decent shape and had a motor that wasnt beat to hell, the guy was wanting like 10 grand for it.

the faint "shit" at the end was a little haunting

Oh no, one with miles of wiring between the Power Module (near the battery) and the ECU (on display at end of video, by the passenger's right foot), with a leaky hose going to the 3-Bar MAP sensor.
When it all worked it was so much fun, but the Dodge dealer's parts cannon kept hitting me and never hit the problem. I had three 2.2 turbo's (including one in a Chrysler Executive Limo). Only after 1988 models did they become dependable (ECU & Power Module got married and lived happily ever after, together in a little house near the air filter).

Having had a heavily modded GLH, I know that laugh well. Many 'vette, 'stand, and camaro guys saw that little 4-door pull away from them once I got in second.

Haha! Love it lol. I absolutely love GLH and GLHS Omnis, and the Stage 3 Roush happens to be my favorite 2005-2009 era S197 model Mustang.

The Hottest Hatch of the 1980s - yes, including Lancia's Delta - goes from strength to strength.

Never give a turbocharged Omni a break, because they'll ram that mistake right up your posterior.

I had a 85 GLH, man i surprised lots of people on the streets. Camaros and mustangs alike. They didn’t call me Mr. 5speed for nothing.
