I think people also forget that this is two entire days instead of one, you could of gotten off midway through, slept, and then woken up and be completely refreshed for the next encounters

There's also a huge divide between people who have a raid group they play with all the time, and those of us who had to LFG contest mode.

Sadly, Bungie still hasn't implemented queues for raids like they said they were going to. My group of friends has recently gotten to 4-5 people for raiding, but man coordinating 5 adults with differing schedules (9-5, 8-6 four days a week, night shifts on alternating weekly schedules...) is the real root of nightmares.

The 48 really changes things. Our group usually doesn't have enough time with the 24 because of work and sleep schedules. We were actually able to spend 2-3 hours each encounter, 2 on day 1 and 2 on day 2 and got through it because it's not being catered to the full timers, it's accessible to many more people now.

After 20 hours my team cleared contest mode! It was our first time doing this and we're extremely proud of our result!

as soon as contest mode was over I continued where my team left off, still was challenging to learn but once everyone got the encounters down, it was a piece of cake

I joined a team on the 3rd encounter and we spent a handful of hours doing that, the next day we tried the final boss but it was just too hard, we only did 1/5 of his health a damage phase and rarely made it to the second phase

i have not done a raid since deep stone crypt all my old friends abandoned me and quit the game except for one and i have been going solo for a good while now i cleared all of witch queen’s story solo on legend difficulty and i cleared pretty much all of the newest story mission on legend difficulty also on solo and i did that one hydra boss that spawned those walls you had to jump or duck over solo without dying a single time and the only help i get is from my one friend i have left and sometimes i get randoms from lfg or something

I was disappointed that the group I was with stopped at the third encounter and didn’t get back on in time for us to finish it before the 48 hour time limit

This raid was the first time where I felt like we had a shot at completing it. I think because of the time extension. Our group finished it in about 10 hours. It was nice having the pressure off and being able to sleep if we didn't get it done.

This is actually nice to hear, I was getting really discouraged and upset not being able to get past the second encounter.

I'm adhd up the wall so it's hard finding a group of people who are level headed, understanding, and can allow me the time to actually take in each encounter and learn

Learning disabilities suck but this video helped get my motivation back for it
