Believing and understanding are different words for a reason. Watching two honest believers trying to understand what they believe is something humanity is currently in short supply of. I'm encouraged and hopeful this will spread.

I think it is amazing how Dallas brought to life Jesus and the followers with personality and depth. I loved it.

Brilliant show. Well acted. Well written. I learned more about Jewish culture, customs and worldview than I ever have in any other show about Jesus. It's shocking actually how much the Jewish culture was almost totally ignored and how 'Western' sanitised previous Jesus shows were.

I could listen to these 2 men all day..
Thank you God for honing their skills and allowing us to see their works firsthand. The internet is good in these ways.
I’m praying for the Chosen’s success. It changed my way of looking at Jesus in the best way possible ❤️

Oh, I am gonna enjoy watching this one. I absolutely LOVE IT when people talk about storytelling. I wish I was a writer but I am at least a major enthusiast for storytelling as a structure. Narrative as a construct is absolutely amazing and it's one of the most important core topics that Jordan talks about. It's at least half of why I listen to him and all I can say is Merry Christmas! This is truly a gift.

We learn more effectively by hearing stories and then applying their lessons to our lives. As humans, we are inherently story-based creations.

This discussion illuminates a key point in the Christian faith: IT'S A FAITH. Lots of people have used our book and made things. But the Lord is the teacher

"He doesn't make a good protagonist, he doesn't grow or change in any way"

I've heard it theorized that there are two types of protagonist -- one that grows and changes, and one that is the hinge, the fixed point, that the entire story revolves around.

I heard that theorized in a commentary about Captain America, of all places, but if you need something more highbrow you can point to Myshkin in _The Idiot_ as well. He's the catalyst that vivifies everyone he meets.

For those who haven’t heard “Will the Lord Remember Me?” By The Red Clay Strays it is an amazing song about the thieves on the cross!

I feel like every Christian who has conversations with JP wishes we would believe in the Gospel and accept Christ as Savior.

It feels as though JP is deeply searching for truth but can't look past his own disbelief.

When I think about Christ, the versus in the Bible where He is emotional I usually hold dear to me. It’s when he cried at Lazarus’ tomb, when he was angry at the Pharisees, and when he showed loved to his followers, I become moved towards seeking a closer relationship with Jesus.
Funny, I always thought the second theft wanted to go to glory with Jesus, because he knew he had done wrong and he just couldn’t keep on the wrong path as he was dying…
Aside from recognizing his own sinful nature, he did recognize Christ as holy. So, I have no real way to explain his ability to see Christ divinity while the other theft could not nor could the soldiers understand the holiness of Jesus.
