The Most Inspiring Retirement Speech EVER!

JEREMIAH 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I was contemplating whether to put this video I recorded prior to retirement out to the public, but then I thought about it even harder and GOD spoke deeply inside of me and said to just do it. So, I decided to put it out, in order to inspire young kids and young adults who have a dream that they want to chase can do the same as I did.
I did not grow up in a rich family. I did not grow up living in the suburbs. I did not grow up living in a big house. I grew up in the projects of St. Paul.
I grew up with a loving family who cared for me and sent me to the best private school and I received a great education. I did what my parents taught me to do and that is to follow my passion. So, indeed, I chased after my passion of becoming a Law Enforcement Officer at a very young age of 10.

PSALM 37:23
"The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the LORD, And HE delights in his way [and blesses his path]."

GOD surrounded me with GREAT PEOPLE to teach me and direct me to where I needed to go. My fourth grade teacher and basketball coach, MR. STEVE MOELLER. A man whom I respect a lot and admired for his wisdom and toughness. He taught me to be strong in adversity and brave when things don't go the way I wanted it to go. I truly will miss him. He was like family to me.
PASTOR BOB KRUEGER, another man GOD put in my path to help me grow. He taught me how to "RUN" my own race and be who GOD created me to be. At my confirmation class graduation, he gave me the Bible verse in 1 Corinthians 9:24, "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it."

I truly appreciate these two men in my life. Just like my father, they helped inspired me to become someone greater than what was expected of me. The greatest honor for me was to be beside MR. MOELLER, as his family called me to be his PALLBEARER. I was so grateful to be able to accompany someone whom I deeply respect very much to his final resting place to be with the LORD. Both men are in HEAVEN now and so deservingly at peace with themselves and enjoying the promise of eternal life with our LORD.

COLOSSIANS 3:17
"And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the LORD JESUS, giving thanks to GOD the FATHER through HIM."

My journey in life was not very easy. I had to endure a lot of pain and struggles, but I knew that GOD had great plans for me, because every time I go one way HE would turn me back to do what HE wanted me to do. I eventually became what I set out to do in 1997.
I just want to encourage young kids out there that if you have a dream. Go for it! You have nothing to lose, but everything to gain. Believe that GOD can take you there and HE will. Look what HE did for me. I hope that in all you do do it with enthusiasm and happiness. Don't look back because GOD has a great future for each and everyone of you.
Always remember that nothing is impossible with GOD and that you can do all things through CHRIST JESUS who gives you the strength. GOD Bless!
