Directors and officers insurance is a type of liability insurance that protects directors, officers, and other employees from lawsuits arising from their actions on behalf of the company.

D&O insurance covers claims arising from a director's or officer's acts or omissions in the course of their duties. The policy covers claims such as wrongful termination, defamation, and invasion of privacy.

The coverage is not available to individuals who are not in an officer position with the company. The policy also does not cover expenses incurred by the company as a result of any criminal act committed by an individual covered under the policy.
