That one brief moment at 2:08 where Steven had a second of doubt for what he was talking about, before eerily trying to re-justify it was the creepiest part to me.

Imagine the horror of them all realising how wrong their perception of Steven was, how they had failed him, and then for the gems to see one of their own become corrupted for the first time in thousands of years.

I felt that. Most of us buy into the stigma that overcoming problems makes you better. While this is true, sometimes it can leave you worse off than before

The way he says, "I"m a monster" reminds me when Sayaka Miki says, "I"m stupid. So stupid." before corrupting.

It’s so cool that in this last season: it’s all focusing on Steven, nothing else. He is growing to the point where his emotions become more dangerous and in this case, it was. The entire show, it was always him helping everyone but he needed to let people help him but he didn’t let them. And now he becomes the monster he thinks he is. Such powerful stuff, man.!

Can we just point out how much *detail* they put into this like how when Steven was walking you could hear the different sound in each step because of his missing “foot thong”

can we all just appreciate how well they handled Steven having a mental breakdown like this and props to Zach Callison for being able to portray all the emotions Steven was going through in this scene

I feel so bad for Steven in this moment. He’s struggling with the fact that he’s the “golden child, ” the do no wrong type who helps, and ever since he made bigger mistakes and had scary intrusive thoughts, he does a full 180% and thinks that he never was a good person, he was just hiding the fact that he was a monster, because no one was there to tell him that he can mess up. Steven can mess up and it’s ok.
It’s usually Steven fixing the messes, never making one. It’s so sad

Future had its flaws but stevens part here was genuinely chilling it was actually incredibly well written

Steven’s mental breakdown was like looking in a mirror! I literally had the same process after venting my feelings for the first time deeming myself as a monster for my past mistakes! As a guy, it isn’t easy for me to express my feelings but once I hit my breaking point I went down in a spiral just like Steven did! This show became a reflection of actual human emotion and future personally spoke to me!
