The problem with Foden, Palmer, Saka, Bellingham, and Kane is they all encroach into each other’s space/role far too much. There is still far too much ambiguity about what each specific player is supposed to do and it’s not a coherent system and balanced

Problem is France have been playing the same team in friendlies for months, getting to know the systems ect with the odd new player being thrown in. For England we don’t know our starting 11 or who plays where. A top manager knows those injured probably aren’t going to make it and would already have plan b in motion.

This is reason England never win because we don't encourage players to adapt. Foden only plays well for Man City because he's surrounded by high calibre players who are the best at moving the ball. England don't have a Rodri or KDB, Gundogan, Silva. Ok Bellingham is really good but it's only one man but not yet the level of KDB yet . Foden has to learn to adapt

There's a few choices in the left back position but it's yet another example of Southgate failing to look ahead by developing plans c and d. It shouldn't be difficult to identify the right players for the position and required role.

They should’ve taken Rico Lewis to play LB as he has done for City and can step inside to play in midfield when needed, even Mitchell would’ve been a good shout to just give some width

The problem for England is none of the "top" players have actually performed at the highest level last season.

They all disappeared. They wil do the same at the Euros

If I was English I’d be the same as Cundy and be frustrated with how much Kane comes back. With the attacking talent he needs to stay forward.

We have some very good young players for the Wales team coming through. It is going to mean suffering while we blood them in but sadly if they aint getting first team football its going to hinder them! I mean our first and second choice keeper for how many years have both been second choice for their clubs.

Not sure where foden plays but definitely not the same player playing for city.i think middle but I just want to see him set free and terrifying defences like he does for his club
