Deployed across a diverse array of military applications: Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs), Submarine-Launched Ballistic Missiles (SLBMs), Battlefield Nuclear Weapons, Nuclear Cruise Missiles, Atomic Demolition Munitions, Deep Penetration Bombs, and Anti-Satellite Weapons. For countries with undisclosed figures, the estimates of nuclear warheads are derived from the average projections of various research organizations.

As if these numbers were not horrifying enough, I'm guessing they were estimated based on what each country has been forced to admit to over the years after UN inspections and de-escalation treaties and the like. But I don't suppose there's any way of knowing for sure how many more there might be out there.

According to this data, 2022 was the first year since 1986 that the total number of nuclear weapons increased. FFS!
