How-To: Starting TaoTao 50cc/150cc Scooter Moped

Not at all, just make sure to turn the ignition off everytime and to lock your steering.

I just bought a brand new 2017 Tao Tao atm50 a1 two days ago. Today it wouldn't electric or kick start. When I bought it I was told to turn the gas nozzle first then use the electric start.

Anybody wondering if you need your license to drive your typical 49cc tao tao scooter. You will need it. What's not needed is a motorcycle license. Now with a 150cc scooter your gonna need your motorcycles license with it. That's the law in the state of Florida. I'm not sure about other states. You don't need insurance either. Insurance is not required on any motorcycle in the state of Florida.

@XxbufferingsxhsxX underneath the seat open that up at the bottom there is a lid take a screwdriver open that and it shows the engine there is one screw faced up and it has a spring under it that is the idle if you turn it left the idle rev is lower turn it to the right and the idle rev gets higher turn the scooter on so you can hear how it revs if the idle is too high the scooter will star taking off but if its shuting off turn it to the right a little bit and give it a sec to adjust

You posted on your youtube page about a year ago that you'de be posting assembly videos for the ATM50-A1 Taotao scooter. I don't see any. Am I just searching for it wrong?

Mine won't start only road it 4 times brought it brand new. Only have 3000 miles, Lights and everything comes on but won't start what can the problem be???

You don't usually have to hold the brake down before starting. Also, the video would be to answer a multitude of peoples questions so they stop emailing and calling the seller (provenpowersports). I agree that it is very simple to start, though.

I have new taotao 50 like one in video, I have two issues one is that it does not always start on first or even second or third try, it runs fine once it starts. Second issue is I get a great deal of vibration in the steering when I release one hand, it is not as obvious when I have two hands on steering. Thanks
