Guess I’ll just have to enjoy the 777X at air shows for the foreseeable future.

Lufthansa and other airlines who ordered the 777x should cancel the order

Boeing are letting airlines down by being unable to deliver planes on time. Delays could cause a downturn in many nation’s economies.

When was the B777x initial EIS planned? Was it 2019 or 2020?

It better live up to the promised fuel efficieny when it finally arrives. Do they refine it in parallel with the development, or will it be good for 2019 not 2027? But maybe the shortage of aircraft mean Boeing and Airbus can sell anything they can produce.

These airlines are throwing a tantrum because of late deliveries but every airline is concerned so it is not unfair.
And less growth is not necessarily a bad thing.

Riyadh Air ordered dozens of a321neo family jets...
Shocking because everyone thought they'd choose Boeing (thank God they didn't)

EIS for 777X will be no sooner than 2028/9

Boeing have to stabilize the 787 production line

Get 737 Max 7 & 10 certified

Iron out production mishaps on its 737 manufacturing line

And after all that certification of the 777 X, now that they are not self-certifying their own planes, who know how long that will take

Well, Boeing could deliver the 777x on-time, but without an airworthiness certificate. And everyone is happy, no?

The 777X so far is not working. At one point, Boeing focused on their upcoming 797. Airbus however, has had many successes during the time the 777X has been delayed, such as: A380, A350, A321, A320
I don't know how Airbus has almost no crashes, but Boeing has been around longer?
