Today is the day we move into our RV and officially start our full time RV living adventure! Let's just say it was a rough start...

First we move into the RV and then experience our first week living in our RV full time. It’s full of epic fails and simple victories but we love our new life because it's ours!

As we drive down the highway, it really hits us that there’s no going back now. We’ve donated most of our belongings, moved out of our old place and into our new place -- a 120 square foot tiny home on wheels -- a 1989 Class C motorhome.

My bestie has an old RV parked in my back yard she's converting to a tiny house. I'm so excited to share your video. I love how you were honest, real, AND still excited! Thank you so much!

As an RV owner myself I can tell you this is just the way it is. Something is always going to need replacing. The best advice I can give is to try and not let it bother you and fix as much of if yourself as you can.

Glad you guys finally made it!

It's wonderful that you to can weather these issues and keep smiling instead of attacking each other

That was some first week. I haven't thought about living in a RV, was so focused on a Tiny Home but this has broadened by options.

Upside: this all happened while you were close to parents' home .. even the downpour was timely, so you could check for roof leaks before you got too far away ... it's all good! Always remember to make the best of the worst ... keep SMILING :D

So you were riding the storm out in your RV. I would like to share a similar experience. I'm driving half way across the USA in my truck towing a cargo trailer filled with all of my worldly possessions. I stopped at a campground in Nebraska (Tornado country). It's just a cargo trailer so I don't need to do any campsite setup. All my stuff is arranged inside like a house, with a bed a refrigerator, electric lights, books, a plastic tub for a sink, a camp shower, a cartridge toilet etc; it just doesn't have any windows. I took my two burner propane camp stove out side and made dinner. Just as dinner was ready a storm blew in; lots of rain and lots of wind. I took everything inside and finished eating dinner as the wind rocked the trailer and I stayed nice and dry. The campground is next to a railroad tracks and I heard a freight train barreling past. That is when I remembered that people say that a tornado sounds like a freight train. I braved a peek outside the door. It was a train.

good job you two I have rebuilt several old campers and I found out that you can save a ton of money if you fix it yourself what I do is take it to the shop and get an estimate and have them diagnose the problem then I take it home and fix it myself saving 65 to 70 dollars per hour shop time that way I have more money to spoil the wife with been married 23 years now lived in a rv most of it it works out good

I just bought 1987 Fleetwood Bounder to live in, and this has been a helpful video for me! The repairs on these old rigs are stressful, and it's nice to see someone else's repair process as well.

Congratulations! Glad it all worked out in the end even though you had some trials. We move into our RV next week. Although it is brand new, so hopefully all will go smoothly.
