It makes me sad that there are so many fewer penguins on Robben Island and in Cape Town now than when I lived there 25 years ago. Protect the oceans!

Penguin town, on Netflix, about these penguins and the town was educational and extremely entertaining. Great series.

He sounds so sad explaining this. This is a huge contrast from the absolute joy and excitement he shows when talking about other topics. 😔

As a South African I can highly recommend spending some time with the Penguins at Boulder Beach if you are ever in the Cape Town area. The drive there on Chapman's Peak alone is worth it 👌

Pretty sad to hear. Hopefully more ppl will be as close to you as they can and make a difference. Thanks for sharing your video, naybe it will let enough ppl know to try and help them. Itd be such a shame for such a unique and beautiful animal to become extinct

That’s crazy to think I’m 20 years old and don’t think I’ve ever heard much about African penguins

I loved learning about these little guys! It’s so special that Africa has a penguin. Keep up the work and teaching people about animals!!! You remind of Steve Irwin!

When most people think of Forrest Galente they think of his knowledge of animals, his love for the earth and all but when I first saw him my thought was now that’s aFINE SPECIMEN with A GORGEOUS MANE like a Lion 🦁

We should donate cans of sardines to the penguins they'll like the flavors. All jokes aside, I love these little guys even as a little kid, I stunned a lot of people where I am from with the African penguin fact. Didn't know they were in such a need for help. Hope one day I get to go to one of these places and help out or at least visit unless we're talking B.O.S in Indonesia; then I would love to help out there.

Almost 2 years ago I stopped eating all sea food. I try not to eat things that other animals rely on. I can live without eating fish but many animals can't.

I am thankful you are on here. I hope you have kids grow up and get as inspired by you as I was watching Attenborough and Cousteau.
