I recently started my own channel and I’m finding that talking to the camera is the hardest thing to do. But you’re inspiring me to keep practicing!

Alec Steele I have yet to begin any type of blacksmithing so I guess I would only be called an enthusiast at this point. However, after watching a lot of smithing videos here on Youtube, I can honestly say that in my own opinion you are one of the best. That being said, I know that if I lived in your area, I have the feeling that you probably wouldn't like me very much since I would be beating down your door every day begging you to teach me your craft. I find that while videos may do well for some, that there really is no substitute for the hands-on instruction from someone with such talent as yourself. I highly enjoy your videos, and your enthusiasm for your work. Whatever you do, don't stop. Talent like your's should never be lost, or forgotten.

I seriously cannot believe you are just 19 years old! You have a very bright future ahead of you!
If I had the space, and time, I would love to get more into metal work. I have a small garage, filled to the brim with woodworking tools.
Day job - GP. Spare time job - wanna be engineer/joiner. I am so pleased you have chosen a path that you enjoy and are passionate about.

I wish my shop was that full, I'm working on finding or building a propane forge for cheap. However its niceto see younger people getting into the creative trades. I'm not old by any means but as my shop ad skill grows so will my sons who is 14 now. blacksmithing is definatly something i would like to pass down.

Just found your channel a couple weeks ago and found it really inspiring, always wanted to dabble in blacksmithing but never had access to any space or the equipment to do so. Recently got hired as a maintenance tech at a steel mill and after seeing steel being produced every day is really pushing me towards learning the trade.
