I massively disagree with this all being about him being under pressure because he's "old". It's not. It's about his cognitive issues. Yes, him being so old made these issues much more likely, but it is possible to have cognitive issues at any age (and to develop something like Parkinsons, the disease he's suspected of having, when one is much younger than Biden) and it is possible to simply never develop cognitive issues in old age. Unless one wants to label some cognitive development that is natural to occur in old age as an issue despite it not being one. (In short: Young people have fluid intelligence and old people have cristalline intelligence. Both are equally good bottom line.)
