Decided to do some maintenance on my 03 Ram 2500 5.9 Cummins. Replacing the fuel pressure relief valve with a new OEM one.

This is an awesome video. I followed it and had success. Now my truck runs perfectly again. Very grateful.

Only thing—and this is very, very important—is that most 24mm deep sockets are not deep enough to engage the head of this valve. I initially bought a 24mm deep socket, but found out that it did not work. I drove around to 3 different stores. Eventually I found a 15/16 deep socket that sorta fit.

I wish that I had brought the part with me when I went to buy my 24mm socket.

Did you have to remove any bolts to allow you to move the fuel line away from the pressure relief valve ?

I realize this was a while ago, but figured I’d ask as I’m having similar issues. Was your check engine light on prior to fixing the relief valve? And would it go away once the truck was running? Having similar issues here. Thank you!
