We DYNO The Alfa GTV and the Diesel Wagon. The Fox Becomes My Lightest Drift Car!

preview_player
Показать описание

Today we shoot over to The Compound to use LZ's dyno and fine tune the GTV's timing and fuel curve. Then we pop the 325TDS Wagon on and troubleshoot the power issue I have been having. When we get back to the shop we show you an update on the Miata and the Foxbody as we gear up for an awesome season of drifting!

following along for the alfa content as I have a 1750 spica 1971 spider. I installed the 123 distributor (bluetooth) this past season and its been working well, seems to have picked up a decent bit of mid range power with my current timing map based on the alfabb recommendations. I though the limiting factor would be the US spec cam but being that you are running 10.5s I though there would be a little more power available. It is nice to know that trumpets would pickup a little power over the spica box that so many feel is perfectly tuned from the factory, or maybe it has to do with more lift you are getting out of the cam. Either way loving the alfa content, keep it coming!

The fox body at first I thought was so stupid now it's literally my favorite car because it's just about maximizing and doing more with less. It's sick af

damn Chelsea is out here tuning now. Dang, all the new skills

My stock 2 liter alfa engine performed the same way to tuning. I think the main issue is the cams. They are not made for high RPM, they just give mid range torque and, due to the low compression, it just doesn't respond on high rpm...

I like the Philly flyers hat, I know a guy who grew up in my small town in Canada who played for them! Mike Smith!

Do the Dyno/Air Box testing with the Hood closed and then see what the results are!

Missing the dissecting would be sick to hear your input on your runs this season🏆

Sounds like you need to put four Keihin FCRs on there and spend hours and hours messing with 4 different jetting circuits trying to pick up like 3hp.

For the BMW: 248hp 390nm...
Though it was a 3L turbo....

Adam LZ compound has plenty of lifts. Why would you wait and take the time to try to take it back to where you live to do the work

I'm gonna guess 158hp and 227 ft/lb. Excited to see what it'll make with the wastegate fixed

Imo, I wouldn't go bigger than that on the Lada. They look just right, if anything I might even test 1" smaller with thicccc tires. But yeah 14s are as big as I would go on these.

Would love to see the same tuning efforts done with a dragy or 1/4 mile although might be a long time going down the track lol. Always see people say their airbox doesn't pick up on the dyno but makes a big difference while driving 🤔
