I bought the x-wing UCS from 2000 for $1, 200 and it was shipped in a flimsy box that was barely bigger than the set. Needless to say, after 24 years of it being perfect it was crushed when it arrived. I contacted whatnot and got a full refund. I was very disappointed in the packaging of my $1, 209 set and was shocked to see in this video how they packaged the $9, 000 cloud city set. Expensive sets should have been either double boxed or placed in much stronger boxes for shipping and not the standard flimsy Amazon style boxes. Would be interested in hearing if others purchased sets from the auction and had them arrive damaged.

Vlogs are BACK and these were insane streams to witness.

Personally I think.all the very expensive sets should have been wrapped in but
bubble wrap out inside a much larger & stonger box with additional packaging .

When I send out any collectables at any price I make sure they are properly packaged .

That's how expect to receive anything I but & I disagreements it

Also when I buy i also request how it's packed before paying .

If received damaged I expect a refund or a good discount if I decide to keep it.

I bought 10123 when it came out for just about £100 and it amazes me how so few people bought it back then. It was warming shelves back then, no one wanted it.

Happy I was able to get the 2001 AT-ST (7127) during this stream :) it was the first set my father ever bought me, and it's so nice to have again. Thanks to you, Dan, and everyone who helped make this possible. Lots of fun to be a part of

The amount of failed payments and "accidental" bids was wild. The amount of extra work that caused was not worth it. Failed payments and "accidental" bids should have been an instant permanent ban tbh but Ryan was too nice

I stopped watching after the first stream due to everyone buying these set over what they were on eBay and brick link but I checked in every now and again and laughed at the prices people were paying

There was chum in the water that stream. The high bidding sharks just priced out the regular viewers.

There was over 900 sets averaging over $300 a piece (probably more since we had ones like cloud city for 11k). That’s 900x300= $270, 000. We’ll say $300, 000. If he got like a 5% commission for hosting the sale and bringing it attention he made $15k off that weekend. No wonder he took a break.

The absolute worst thing about these streams was one of the whatnot mods in chat that kept spamming about checking bins while refusing to elaborate what bin even is. You can give me ten thousand dollars credit and I would never use that stupid app again.

I hope there will be a follow-up where we get to know the total sum it all went for.

This video made me remember that brick heads was a thing. Completely forgot they existed 😂

I was bummed to miss our on the Cloud City. I spoke to Ryan about it at OBC two weeks ago. Fortunately, I found a great copy at Bricks & Minifigs in Pasadena, CA last week for several thousand less than I was prepared to bid on this version!

I don`t understand, why they buy a few 75280 for 126$ if It costs on ebay 40$ fro each?

Packing issues?? Seems like Hypocrisy as we always criticize how these orders arrive from big stores.

Those YouTuber inflation prices on whatnot were ridiculous and quoting prices well over what they really go for is nuts. Ppl believe whatever they hear from influencers without doing their own research on the products. Not sure whatnot should have done an extension with you when you barely go live like maybe once a month or barely mention them in videos kinda seems like a waste
