The 2500 does not have the Aisin transmission. It only is available with the even more ancient 68RFE from Chrysler. The Aisin is only available with a 3500 when optioned with the high output Cummins. The 3500 also has the 68RFE when optioned with the standard output Cummins.

Rented a Challenger recently and then had a RAM rental when my truck was rental. Not an FCA guy but gotta say the 5.7 in both cars was nice but more importantly was surprisingly pleased with the way both vehicles drove, comfort, etc. the rental had over 60k miles and everything was tight, etc.

You said Asin transmission, isn't this the 68RFE? I have a 2500 Cummins and it's been good so far. Ford makes a lot more power but who wants a CP4 fuel pump after it's been such a disaster in the previous Ram's and Chevy's. Also, Ram was briefly available with a 50 gallon fuel tank which for the diesel makes close to 1000 mi highway range.

I want one but the sticker shock was mind numbing. I sold RAMs back in 2014-16 and you could a fully loaded Limited 6.7 for less than a Power Wagon 6.4 today. Be nice to afford a truck again but I think sadly those days are very much long gone.

$91K for a Dodge truck. We really live in absurd times. People eat the advertising on payload and off road capabilities but in the real world, this will live on pavement from a stop light to a stop light only, making up for penile deficiencies. It will never see a bucket of paint in the back of it, let alone anything else.

2022 RAM 2500 Laramie Hemi 4x4 owner here. With a vehicle this TALL and large, you MUST drive friendly. I have 13, 000 miles on mine now and I treat it like an oversize SUV. It holds 5 full adults and ALL of their luggage. Parking is ALWAYS a pull-through when available. We use our 2019 Nissan Murano when parking in a neighborhood.

The 2500 does not have the aisin transmission, it just has a Chrysler 68rfe.
