Раз в год даже полные безумцы могут предвидеть правду. В истории World of Warcraft есть множество событий, которые порождают спекуляции на форумах и теории фанатов. И иногда даже самые безумные теории могут оказаться правдивыми. В этом ролике я хочу рассказать о таких теориях: как они возникли и насколько близки к истине они были.

I remember the back on vanilla WOW if you ran from the undead start to the human start you would be neutral to the first quest giving NPC, sadly they were not interactable. At the time there was some speculation that undead were to be on either side, like the Pandas where later.

Wait. Wait. Wait. Sylvanas didn't even make contact with the Jailer until AFTER Arthas was slain. Christie Golden wrote a story about it called The Edge of Night. The Forsaken were always seen as the outcasts in a group of outcasts. There were only hints that Sylvanas had other motives, such as enlarging the Forsaken population or simply taking care of them or seeing them accepted. She was the leader that would do the bad stuff to see to her people's safety and continued existence. Also, the lore in the Warcraft RPGs was offically called non-canon. Granted it had a lot of neat ideas.

The whole mustache twirling bad guy crap didn't start until BfA where they made up the whole Jailer thing and did a bunch of retcons. Sylvanas was an anti-hero, the dark hero. She was -never- the bad guy until the events leading up to BfA. Hell, even in Legion, she was after an item that would allow her to make Val'kyr. Which would allow her to be effectively immortal and she could create more Forsaken. The methods were bad, but her goal was to see to her people and her own survival.

The one time doubt was cast over what she was doing was during the First Battle of the Undercity. (Or Just Battle for Undercity. The second battle is also called the Battle for Lordaeron. But it was for the Undercity as well.)

So. Don't go acting like this was an idea from the get go, because it was not. Never once. I mean. Hell. I doubt it was even planned in Legion. They just took things that happened and went, "BUT WAIT! This happened because of this! Don't we look super duper smart? HUH?! HUH?!" I say that as a player of Warcraft since 1994 when the first game came out. I love the lore and the world, but I know it well enough to know when things are being screwed with.

Не знаю насколько сильно форсили информацию о том, что Дренден это фейк, но если это было достаточно известно в кругах игроков, то обидно, что разработчики никак не обратили на это внимания и не изменили ход событий хоть немного. Было бы интересно)
