If you have the budget of this much, you'll probably go for this because it lasts very On the other hand if you're just looking for a car not a huge truck maybe go for Fortuner's lower variants or maybe some other car which suits your needs. Pickup truck is probably useful in rural than cities, that's why it's weird for you. But for people who want luggage carrier for their factories or farms a very useful thing is a truck. But at so premium they'll go for tata ace or bolero pickup. Only people who have lot of money and can afford to buy this vehicle. So to sum it up, don't buy this if it's not useful for you, you'll just waste your money. Buy a CAR which suits your needs. Test drive it twice thrice if you need to. I believe the reason why Toyota brought the Hilux to India is simply because they’re trying to compete with other existing pickup trucks sold there like Isuzu, Mahindra, and TATA but at the same time since it was imported from Thailand it’s obviously gonna cost a lot more to sell it in India than other countries with some modifications included which is why its expensive for what it is.

I feel like Toyota should’ve offered a base cargo version of the Hilux (including a single cab variant). Sure, it’s still gonna cost a lot for its importation, but at least it has a manual transmission and costs a lot less than the higher end Hilux. It'll also help people who are using it for private and commercial utility purposes, and only then could the Hilux have a chance to boost its sales.

It is called a bedliner!!! It is not International, it is Innovative in the IMV platform. The Innova's ride is horrible? The standard model has only a manual. It is the High variant that has both manual and automatic. 🤦🏻‍♂️ It is classified as commercial vehicle not because it is BIG.🤦🏻‍♂️ It is because Toyota declared the proper load carrying capacity instead of lying and declaring it can carry only below 200kg. If they had lied it can carry only 200kg in the loadbay, then they could sell it everywhere on white plates.

Everything is great but the only thing is Why the back rest angle of rear seat is upright?? which is a very basic basic need for long rides, even the rear ones deserve the comfortable ride in a half crore vehicle. (This applies to DMAX as well ) Or may be they are jus selling out dated models to us.
