Feeling broken?

The feeling of being overwhelmed by work, the feeling when life deals you blow after blow and it doesn’t seem like things will ever get better.

The feeling that you’ll never reach your goals, no matter how hard you try, and that everyone can see and is focused on your faults and failings.

But when all seems hopeless, what can you do to change this? What can you keep in mind so you can keep going and be prepared for when this next happens?

It can be a long, hard road that leads out of dark times, but I promise it will be worth it. The path out can be found.

Hey, you. You broken and beaten soul. Even if nobody else will tell you this, I wanted to let you know how PROUD I am of you. You held on when you thought you couldn't take it anymore. When your thought ending it was the best option, and you still made it to today, is inspirational to others, and to me. We may never meet, but I truly mean it when I say I'm so grateful you are here. As someone who has struggled with many suicide attempts and depression in the past, I just want to let those who are struggling know that there is hope, and you CAN get through this. Even if you don't see a way out, there is hope, and you are special and unique. Don't throw away the beautiful gift of life. It can be painful, beautiful, and scary, and we have to ride the rollercoaster of emotions at all times, but you CAN get through this. I hope you have a wonderful day, or that you can have a better one tomorrow. You are loved! ❤

This video came at the perfect time, and reading all of these comments is helping me realize that I’m not alone. There has been so much going on in my life right now, I have this lost feeling constantly surrounding me. I feel like I’ve changed myself so much to be more like the people around me, that I don’t even know who I am anymore. I want more than anything to find myself again, for this melancholic weight to drift away, but sometimes I don’t think that that’s possible. I have a voice in my head telling me that I’m not enough, and hearing others comments helps me learn that I’m not the only one who has that voice. Thank you psych2go.

Wow. this video could not have come at any better of a time. it has been another sleepless night where i’ve been lost in my thoughts, dwelling on the negative experiences in my life. i’m at a period in my life where little things get to me, which in turn brings back even more negatives. i’m glad this video popped up in my feed because it showed me that im not the only one in this battle.

Everyone is broken either physically, mentally, or within their personality. Life is making ourselves better, step-by-step. If we have a physical impairment, we seek to adapt ourselves so that the disability does not control our life. Mental disabilities are the same. If you have decreasing cognitive functions, like me with LBD, you develop ways to help yourself. If you have bad personality traits, you can work to control and master that trait. During life, we are constantly improving ourselves. It is a never-ending struggle to keep making ourselves better people.

Something I do is whenever I feel productive, I immediately start a streak on something like my daily runs. This makes me much more determined to keep it up the longer my streak is. I’ll set an amount of breaks of course, but I wanted to share for anyone it might work for.

Recently me and a girl stopped talking because she went back to her ex. Even though everything was going so well between us. The whole thing has just shut me down completely. I’ve tried talking to friends but no one seems to understand the confusion and conflict I’m going through. Thank you for this video, it does help

ive had this one goal that only ONE person believes in me, and everyone doubts me cause im a girl who does parkour. not even my own parents believe me, and so now im starting to doubt myself. ive also been teased at school for saying im strong, or having been recognized as strong by others cause everyone but a few people say im not strong cause im a girl, even though ive proven myself stronger than them with arm wrestling, how much we can bench, etc. this helps me know what to think when i get backlash from others.

this may seem dumb to u guys, but thanks for reading and making this video.

Ever had those moments where you dont know what to feel and you just sit there blank and numb with all the disturbing thoughts in your head playing over on repeat while you stare into space as your mind goes deeper into the rabbit hole that you contemplate suicide everytime you drift off into this state of mind cause you have little to no options in terms of talking about you mental and emotional well-being cause it'll just be shrugged off as "attention seeking" and therefore have little to no trust in opening up about how you feel.
