Joining Lassen was the Greek Sacred Squadron, an elite unit trained by the British, dedicated to Greece’s liberation. Despite their fierce resistance, the island fell after brutal battles, but their courage left an indelible legacy in Greek history.

Following the fall of Leros, Allied forces launched follow-up missions like Operation Sunbeam, including daring kayak operations to sink Italian ships.
