So many boxing fans talk smack about Canelo ducking and fighting European champions is why he became undisputed, etc., etc., etc., but now it's the biggest fight in boxing? Why? That's because YOU know that Canelo is deserving. While I know Canelo will give Bud his first beat-down and defeat-- sending Bud into his retirement with all those millions of dollars, and Canelo will still not get any credit for beating a smaller guy, I'm still rooting for the underdog. I hope Bud gets the win and goes into the HoF as one of the best. If he beats Canelo, I really think that Bud could've beat Floyd. And if he does beat Saul, a very jealous Floyd will try and come out of retirement to make a fight with Bud. I think Saul has become a complete fighter after the Floyd fight. He should not let another "Floyd" do that to him again, but this is boxing. If Canelo went up and beat all those champions, Bud can do the same.

I have an issue with Canelo fighting Scull in May, if that is his course. That immediately sends a message that Canelo believes he will walk through/ overlook Scull before his meeting with Bud in September. What if Canelo loses that fight??? Yikes! This is Boxing and us folks that are in our latter years have seen some HUGE upsets. No need for a list. If you know this sport, then you know what I am talking about.
There are two huge mistakes for Canelo and team here. Overlooking and underestimating. Let's say Canelo wins the fight with Scull in un-convincing fashion? Struggles some. Shows his stamina issues? "Then" he fights Bud and gets his ass whipped. I can already hear those "hypothetical" excuses in that scenario. The first excuse would be is that Bud did not fight a "Prime" Canelo, even though he is older. I can almost guarantee that one!
The Cherry Picking is over and Saul needs to fight Crawford in May. That is my take.
