New British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made his parliamentary debut Wednesday. By nearly all accounts he inherits “a mess” as he tries to turn the UK around.

Elon Musk posted a video on Wednesday from Twitter’s headquarters ahead of Friday’s deadline to purchase the social media giant. The Washington Post reports that Musk plans to fire 75% of the company’s employees once the deal is closed.

A Bremerton, Washington high school football coach who was fired for praying on the field will be reinstated this week after winning his case in the US Supreme Court.

And Darrell Brooks, the man who killed 6 people and injured dozens more after driving his SUV through a Christmas parade in Waukesha, WI, was convicted on all 76 counts including six counts of first-degree homicide. The victims’ families say the verdict will help them heal.
