I've been doing low carb/keto recipes myself after becoming diabetic. Instead of feeling sad for what I can't eat I'm excited to discover new foods and finding substitutes for old favorites. If I had been eating better all along I likely wouldn't be in my situation. Looking forward to new recipes if you decide to take your channel in that direction.

Those bags that come with noodles are full of additives, emulsifiers, palm oil & salt. For natural flavouring just use a stock cube / paste & tomato concentrate with added herbs & spices to your liking.

Hey Rick, "Ohayo Gozaimasu" buddy, you were quick, well done my friend. Michele and I are only really visiting Japan for a few months, we're off to Osaka soon so I'll make some fun videos from there too.
We are actually travelling from Oz to Europe (maybe) on a Gastronomy Trail, learning about food from the places we love to visit. I really wish I could Keto up my diet a little too buddy, I continue to keep the weight on with all this Rich Delicious Japanese Food.. Any way let me sit back and Enjoy your video. 😉

Looks good. Thanks for sharing that. It’s hard sometimes to come up with good Keto meal ideas that are different and resemble the things we miss. In the US, we call them zucchini, pronounced “Zuke-keen-ee”. Our ramen noodles (the cheap individual packs with the seasoning packet) come with what is basically bouillon packets.

That looks yummy! Have you ever tried konjac (shirataki) noodles? You might want to experiment with them as well. They have a rice noodle like texture, but they are carb free, high in fiber and good for a keto diet. Bigger supermarkets will sell them, often times as "diet noodles."

I was mildly hungry when I started watching this video. And well, I'm now just utterly famished...LOL. I'll be trying to duplicate your recipe Rick, fortunately here in America, we do have the "Square Pak" of those cheap Ramen noodles, and I just happen to have a box of them. I too am living the "Keto" diet and cutting out as much of the carbs as I can. Once again a great vid! Cheers mate!

The instant noodle ‘flavourings’ are surely just potato starch?

Hey Rick! We say zucchini pronounced zoo kini, rhymes with bikini. =) Speaking of which, your courgetti looked so fresh and good. You would not believe the slimy looking stuff that comes from Walmart here in the states that they call zucchini noodles...eww! I don't know why British food looks so much fresher than ours. Canadians get really cool looking food as well, and lots of varieties. I love watching what other countries eat and seeing the prices. Glad you got your craving taken care of. I need to get back on my keto "way of life" soon. I'm just so addicted to carbs. =( Well, take care and hugs from across the pond.
