I for one am excited about the Carlos Mendoza era.
I’ve been watching some of his interviews on YouTube and I like the way he talks and generally comports himself.
His bilingual ability will be huge for this team and this market.
More importantly, he comes from a solid, winning organization over there with the Yankees, and with that comes instant respect and credibility.
I have no clue about his managerial philosophies or tendencies, but let’s be real, most managers are roughly the same in between the lines. Very few actually distinguish themselves in any real way when it comes to in-game strategies.
Where managers distinguish themselves is in all of the peripheral, off-the-field stuff. Things like leadership, message discipline, resonating with the fanbase, being in sync with the front office, etc. And I think Mendoza will be quite solid in all of those areas. Just a feeling I have.

I'm actually happy with this. I don't like Clownsul. I never have.

People are seriously overreacting to this. The Mets are likely a couple of years away—at least—from being serious competitors, so at this point, they mostly just need someone who’s good with young players.

Bruce Bochy is a real coach The best of the best and should be getting paid twice what Craig counsell is getting. He joined the 68-94 Texas rangers on October of last year and this year he has them a world series champion!!! While Craig Counsell has had very good talent throughout the years including the best reliever in baseball at the time in Josh hader and he got them to the playoffs numerous times but flopped each and every one of them. Thank God Craig Counsell is leaving Milwaukee! I sure hope he has a guaranteed pay clause on that contract so when the Cubs fire him he will get all the money that they are awarding him for being a subpar coach! It kind of reminds me of the Green Bay Packers where their coach is showing what his value is after years of Aaron Rodgers propping him up to be something more than he really is. This is the same thing for the Brewers ex coach as he has had very good talent throughout the many years to work with and never got them very far in the playoffs. Now he gets to work with a hapless Cubs team and we'll see how good of a coach he really is!

Nobody good wants to go to the Mets, they are a jinxed ball club, plus they have no pitching and the team is awful.
