Marvel’s Fantastic Four is going to destroy the MCU even more!

Captain Amercia Brave New World is already behind us and Thunderbolts yet to come, but the biggest MCU release from Marvel and Disney this year, is arguably Fantastic Four First Steps. Fans have wanted an MCU Fantastic Four ever since the days of Josh Trank, but they may not want it any more, and certainly not after this most recent virtue signal. Let's see why.

It's funny that they characterize Johnny as someone who was callous toward women given that it's been a lot more common for him to fall in love only for the woman to dump HIM rather than the other way around. Crystal (from the Inhumans) was probably his first great love but she left him and married Quicksilver... arguably the biggest douche in the Marvel Universe. He fell for Frankie Raye and first she pushed him away because of his powers, then later dumped him to become a herald of Galactus. The only relationship that I remember going the distance was when he started dating Alicia Masters (Ben was off-world for an extended period) only to learn that it wasn't Alicia at all, but a skrull who had been impersonating her. He loved her and wanted to marry her while she had been lying to him the whole time. I'm sure that if you comb through enough issues, you can find a time where he "loved and left" but that really isn't the pattern over his history. Then again, these people always gaslight the original comic books as well as the fans who love them, so this doesn't come as much of a surprise.

Marvel Studios never met a female character they didn't want to turn into a political message. Even worse, I don't think they can actually write a female character anymore, since every action she might take would be too problematic. Have her care about her family = reinforcing "harmful" gender roles. Have her be an active and powerful hero = she's just written as a man, with nothing that makes her female (i.e. she's a Ms. Male cliché). The "modern" audience will never be happy, because you can never please these types of "meta-aware" fans. So all the cowardly writers at Marvel Studios can think to do is make a political statement of some kind, and that makes for extremely unlikeable and/or boring characters that instantly take you out of the story/movie.
