Thanks for the memories Alice. I have been to Joshua Tree before a few years ago... Same entrance point at 29 Palms. I had a timeshare in Palm Desert (Christmas gift from my employer) and skipped out of town for daily hikes. I am NOT a golfer so manners obliged I spent 2 days exploring the area. I was there just before the Holidays and no one was in sight. I really enjoyed the desert, especially the oasis I ended up to at the end of a trail, and hiking up to a mine shaft situated up a hill at some point. The views of all Joshua Trees in the valley were picture perfect. Your video is exactly the way I remember it. 🥾😎

On the south side of the park is Camp Young, HQ for Patton during the maneuvers in the California - Arizona deserts prior to going to N. Africa in WW2.

I’ve had two wrangler rubicons (2003 and 2010) die after about 120k miles. I’m now on 170k with Tacoma and never had a single issue. I do miss top down though. Good luck getting your baby back on the road!
