RECALLS via FSA plus BOVAER updates

I joined the recall notification thing via FSA recently and it really is interesting what is recalled and other food related 'issues' that arise - take the pet food meat being sold to humans! thankfully they were caught and charged.

I've noticed that the price of organic milk doubled overnight in some supermarkets and lots of Arla products left unsold in the reduced section. The Bovaer boycotts haven't gone unnoticed 👍

Saw an advert on YouTube today for dog food made from bugs! They proudly walk around their premises saying how fabulous it is and they are suitable for humans too! Yum, I can hardly contain myself! Stop the world, I want to get off! 🤢

I contacted Leckford Estates Dairies (John Lewis Partnership) 3 times by email to ask whether the milk, including goat milk sold in Waitrose was from Bovaer treated cows or goats. No reply was forthcoming. They simply ignored the request. I even emailed them again and said their silence spoke volumes....again ignored. So now we know.

I only buy Kelly's icecream now, and when I was a child before supermarkets existed we ate seasonal veg, everything was fresh, and British.

We really need to thoroughly check the ingredients in all processed food, as the manufacturers have absolutely zero scruples. I recently saw a report on the rubbish that goes into most Easter eggs...yuk!
