iOS 17 Final Release Speed Test

Apple has released the final version of iOS 17 today September 18 2023
as they said they would at the Apple Event. The version of iOS 17 Apple
released today is identical to the RC version they released last week
at the event. It comes with the same build number 21A329. So the video
you will see in this video is the same as in my RC video. Just updated
with new titles to not confuse new people searching for this video.

iOS 17 comes with tons of new features and functions, and of course
also supports the new features of the new iPhones. However this video
is focused on performance, I will put iOS 17 head to head
with iOS 16.6.1 to see if the version is slower than the old. Watch
for the battery test video.

Older iPhones are struggling to keep up with newer iOS versions. I will stick to iOS 16 until i see an iOS 17 version that gives better performance

Performance on iOS 17 is about the same as iOS 16.6.1 looks like a drop in single core score and a small increase in multicore score but battery is worse I am sure it will improve in newer updates soon

iOS 17 has some new animations in spotlight it’s a smoother animation than iOS 16, the control center controls gets a small change in animation there seems to be small animations changes

iphone 13 battery on ios 17 is so bad. it went from 100% to 96% while on ios 16 it stayed at 99

I have run ios 17 on my 13 pro since beta 2 and the speed was just better on ios 17 since the start. On ios 16 on geekbench 6 I had 2289 for single core and 5499 on the multi core whilst on ios 17 l have 2431 as single core and 6034 on multi score which is a big improvement compared to ios 16

iOS 17 is actually very good for a release version. I remember iOS 16 was laggy and very buggy. On iPhone 11 is almost the same as 16.6.1. It will get even better with future releases.
