Hey, I thought you told me you don’t like desserts. And here you are gulping on cheesecake & madeleines together. Hmmmm... Btw Japanese ppl are obsessed about making every heavy dish light by adding egg whites beaten to soft peaks.😃 They make all desserts, pancakes & Omlettes in the same manner. And then you wonder if this dish is really light or heavy😀. But it’s an amazing technique to give their dishes a spongy or bouncy texture. I loved that I got to see a glimpse of Toronto in this video & it almost resembles NYC in every way be it the crowd or commercialism & the concrete jungle. But these cities have their own charm.

So I have lived in Japan 8 years and in all that time I have never heard of Japanese Cheese cake. We have cheese cake here but it is the same as in every country. The thing that Uncle Tetsu claim to be Japanese cheese cake is a generic cake that you can find at 7-11 for like 2 bucks. So the fact that Canadians are standing in line waiting to pay 10 bucks to have that is kind of funny. I have tried it. It's good. I wouldn't say it's worth 10 bucks and I certainly wouldn't wait in line for it.
Also, I asked hundred of Japanese people over the years if they have ever heard of Uncle Tetsu and no Japanese person knows it or knows what Japanese cheese cake is. Lol. Also, there are 3 Uncle Tetsu shops in Japan, all located in the same city in south Japan so only locals of that city might now it.
It's like a some shop in Brampton selling apple pie, calling it Canadian Apple Pie and promoting it to Americans as the famous Canadian Apple Pie. Good Marketing Tactic but false advertising.
That being said, my rant is over and the video was a good video, good editing, good choice of music and over all a good review.
