It's crazy how many journalists have no fucking clue what AI does or how it works and they think it's some kind of oracle full of forbidden knowledge pulled out of thin air. It's almost inconsequential but it gives a very very sad outlook on the quality of the people who're supposed to be talking about important topics.

The thing about the Mona Lisa too is that, by the time DaVinci stopped working on it, the painting wasn't exactly even a portrait of the original person. He towed the painting around with him for years, constantly touching it up and probably using his own face as reference.

This is just a symptom of a larger problem. For some reason people are treating these AI algorithms as impartial observers at best and freaking oracles at worst.
