Like, obviously they did sound all "pathetic" (not to me) but the studio version and the stage version is different. They don't have that little autotune. EVERY singer sounds different when singing on stage and studio version.
Like, c'mon! 🤦

The "something off" is the volume. The way its recorded, the vocals aren't as loud and even. In person, it would sound much more complete.
Edit: I'm not critiquing the videographer. The video is amazing and I like this version. Almost all live performances unless in a studio or recorded by the studio professionals will have something a bit off.

The only good thing about this is the background singers everything else makes me sad the lead singer doesn't have the same inflections as studio version it's very wrong sounding

I guess the sound quality in this video is bad. just look at other lives, for example from 2011. I was on their live and they sound pretty much same as in studio recordings + the energy of live music was great.

I think it’s the drum machine that’s really killing the performance, artificial drums just don’t and never will have the same strength as the real deal. That’s why even a lot of artists that use drum machines for studio recording often use real drums live.
