Buying Gold & Silver Locally? You Should! Here's Why!

Why do you need a Local Coin Shop? The answer is pretty simple. A local coin shop or bullion shop will almost always have better prices to buy Gold and Silver than shopping with online dealers. You won't have to worry about the Postal Worker "misplacing" your Gold or Silver and once you build report with your local coin dealer you may even get better pricing than what is advertised! Your local coin dealer can help you make the right decisions on what to buy, when to buy and when to sell. They are also your best option for turning your precious metals stack back into cash if you need to sell.

My local Coin Shop is:

There aren't really any local coin shops in my area, so I have to depend on online dealers. I received my first 10 oz Royal Canadian Mint silver bar today, and wow... It's amazing.

My local coin shops want to pay spot or if you're luck they will pay $2 over spot. When you buy from them they want you tp pay $6 to $8 over spot. Most coin shop are just pawn brokers trying to see what they can rip you off for. I'll stick with the mints

You are spot on, when I see a vintage bar or round, I will absolutely buy it at the right price 😊

Excellent video. I recently found a local dealer here in central Florida. His prices are far better than anything online. Just bought silver 5 & 10 ounce bars at $3 over spot. Its really nice walking in, paying cash and walking out with my purchase. Ive been reluctant to buy gold online and experience banking problems or delivery issues, with the local dealer, no problem, cash and carry. Just doesnt get any better.

Even though my lcs is sometimes higher than online dealers, I will occasionally buy from the lcs just to keep up ‘appearances’ with him if I need to sell quickly.

Do you still have to have an appointment to stop in and shop or have they changed that?

I only buy locally. price is basically the same as online. I get to pick out my silver. At most, I only buy around 10 oz at a time. I am a small-time stacker, yet I have never had to pay for a matching mint tube. I buy a little at a time, fill a tube, ask for a new mint tube then fill and repeat.

Great video, love the aesthetic! I've got to get some more production value in my videos so I can get on your level!

Speaking of 10oz wide and narrow format, I have been able to source capsules for the wide variety. Do you know of any capsules for the narrow variety?

Buying gold and silver locally is the best way. Local coin shops are a treasure trove of information. Sometimes if you build rapport with your local coin shop dealer they can give you deals or discounts on gold and silver that they don't offer to others.

Sometimes you don't have a choice. Some places have only one local coin shop that everyone goes to. In Winnipeg, Canada there are coin shops, but there is only 1 real coin shop that sells bullion, so everyone who buys or sells gold and silver go there. There really isn't a choice.
