..the last thing left from my childhood just died, they destroyed my heros, today's world has no imagination, so they continously grab what worked before, but they look at it with their eyes, senseless and can never fathom the original concept, and then it dies, , flops and fades, like all their other stuff, Long Live Randall, Wally, Fidget and the gang, Terry Gilliam's message was always about the danger of bureaucrats in charge of imagination🥀

This feels...wrong. Time Bandits is one of the few movies (great movies) that stars a bunch of little people. This kinda feels like they are dismissing that, therefore dismissing them...

I deadass love the Gilliam og. My entire life, I have ref'd this film and blamed time bandits for any missing belongings. I also love Clement & Waititi so when I tell you that, if they screw this up I will leave harsh criticism on RottenToms so hard, I mean it wholeheartedly!!

Okay.... So... In their massive desire not to insult little people (dwarfs, midgets, etc) they have completely removed them from a story literally made to star them.

Mixed feelings. The original is a classic and this, at least from the brief trailer, doesn't feel like it hits the mark. Kudrow feels like an odd choice and I'm worried it will be full of cameos like everything seems to be these days. I'll give it a try but the film is a very hard act to follow.

The standard response to anything today is to complain about it before you even give it a chance. I plan on checking this out. I loved the movie, which is why I will give this a shot. I expect this to be different. It would have to be. That doesn't necessarily mean it will be bad. Once I actually watch the show, then I can complain if it was bad. Apple TV has a decent track record, so I'm hopeful.

I hope it's just the way the trailer is edited, but something about it felt lifeless and tired.
