I’m a Helge fan but throwing sand at an area where oil is getting out means dirt can get in which means sand finding its way into the engine.

Nice. Too bad there isn't a link to the TouratechUSA website from the description. That would be too convenient for somebody that wants to order one of these.

Nice video. However, very inexperienced. You go to Africa and you do not take and oil filter protector? I would of use jb weld for this job due to its fluidity and adhering properties. The material he used to patch the hole is good. But I will use that product for wholes in the engine case or other more rigid areas.

Best tip, take an old Africa Twin, a Transalp or a Tenere to Africa, not a GS, GS are for Europe.
