I remember Snake Eyes being my favorite Joe as a kid, but I couldn’t really remember why. Rewatching the MASS Device storyline and I remember it was his bravery and self-sacrifice that instantly endeared me to the character.

This cartoon brought me to my first comic, GI Joe issue #4: Operation Wingfield. I read it about fifty times that summer... until it actually fell apart, lol.

Hasbro released the first 3 miniseries, I LOVE the scene where Scarlett, Stalker, and Snake-Eyes raid the base. The score IS great.

I can still remember being freaked out as a kid, because I thought my mom wouldn't get me home in time for when GI Joe was coming on the TV! One of my favorite cartoons back in the day.

I first saw G.I Joe on video as a kid. Like many American toylines that came out over here in NZ (Masters of the Universe, Transformers etc), the cartoons were only available on video to rent for YEARS before we got them on TV(we only had TWO TV channels until about 1990)! Off to watch this now. Thanks Zack!

I picked up a great book from my local comic book shop a few years ago. G.I.JOE vs. COBRA an Essential Guide. Lots of fun stuff about the TV show as well as the comics, including our favorite twins Tomax & Xamot !! Motor pool for each faction with Air, Land & Sea vehicles & Mission Reports, including The M.A.S.S Device; Attack on Springfield...ect. The other books I picked up about the same time where Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye official guidebooks Vol 1 & vol 2. Full color images, bios, alternate forms & weapons from Aerialbots to Wreck-Garr.
