Although I follow several sources, Dr. Gundry is an inherent part of my daily routine simply because he brings very interesting news and also sets the record straight on some misinformation that is bothering me. How can this be true? It says right on the bottle what the smoke point is and it's low. I'm open to be convinced but I need to hear more. Meanwhile, I use it all the time on salads and dipping, but I hate the taste of cooked olive oil. If you want the taste of olive oil, cook with avocado oil, then add the olive oil at the end.

Hi Doc Gondry, my husband (a "healthy" 50yrs old man) and I started two weeks ago (1/11/21) the plant paradox diet (I already got 2 of your books) on the hope that his progressive, rare, and autoimmune disorder that has no cure called Inclusion body myositis (IBM) could some how heal. We also started to take the Vitamin D (1000/day) and fish oil supplements. Question, is there something else he could be doing to get better? Is it ok to exercise (different doctors advise the opposite to each other since they  are not familiar with it)? Is there any other supplements he should be taking?
I'm really hoping you could answer my question in one of your YouTube/
podcast videos.

Olive oil has a lower smoke/burn point, as a chef I don't recommend cooking with it.

Just because he wrote a book, a good one, with lectines and its effects on the human health doesn't mean he knows everything. Often he refers to studies without really telling which ones (that makes him a doctor but not a scientist). For instance, in this video the Spanish study he refers to about olive oil's health benefits is not an indicator for the smoke point of olive oil so wrong argumentation. In fact in Spain (where I live), olive oil is not a cooking oil. It is eaten on top of bread like the American way of eating butter or with salads. Dr. Gundry fails in many fronts, same goes for his book, with lots of valuable eye openers and many non senses. So, make your own take it and leave it lists on his recommendations.

Does olive oil have a lot of Linoleic acid? Should we limit our intake of this?

I only use olive oil .never eat fry food .anything I cook I add the olive oil at the end .that is only way the oil is safe

We Asians widely use palm oil to cook... I take olive oil 3-4 table spoon in morning before breakfast... Sorry we don't use it to cook. May be you can check why all "the top countries with the highest rate of cancer" are west countries?? Is it safe to cook with olive oil actually ? or the very unhealthy vegetable oils with gmo..??

Don’t even need to watch this, that’s a big NO. Olive oil should never be heater or eaten for that matter.
