Here, I discuss my favourite search optimization, the Schwartzian transformation. For one, it's one of those ideas that are so genius that they seem obvious in retrospect, and for two, it's fun to say "we need to calculate the schwartz". Here, it enabled us to reduce 16.000 unneeded method calls, so that's a win!
