The Newbees perform Oh! Darling at Penny Lane at the Park 2021. Live music is back! The Newbees dedicated this song to uberfan and Rochester girl Charlene Sandman's husband Bob Sandman, who joined the fest and became an instant celebrity.

Penny Lane at the Park was a 2-day Beatles-based music fest held over Memorial Day weekend as a smaller version of Abbey Road on the River, an awesome 5-day Beatles music festival usually held Memorial Day weekend in Jeffersonville, IN, across the river from Louisville, KY. It's the biggest and best Beatles-based music fest ever, and every Beatles fan should go. In 2021, the full AROTR will be held over Labor Day weekend.

The Newbees, an amazing band from Covington, KY and the Cincinnati, Ohio, area, cover Beatles and other classic-rock songs as well as performing their own well-crafted originals. In 2021, they released THREE new albums of originals, along with a video series titled A Band and A Van, in which bandleaders Misty and Jeff Perholtz toured America and recorded music in a van.

The Newbees headlined the PLATP fest, with a Saturday night set that included The Bee Strings, a classical quartet, and a Sunday night set featuring the Bad Ass Brass and other guest stars. The full lineup was
