Rory McIlroy extended highlights | Round 1 |Travelers

In the opening round of the 2017 Travelers Championship, Rory McIlroy managed his day around TPC River Highlands as he racked up a 3-under 67.

The Travelers Championship is played at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT. In 2016, Russell Knox beat Jerry Kelly with a 12-foot putt on the final hole to win his second TOUR title.

Rory is my favorite golfer at the moment but is getting sooo hard to watch with the way he's been putting....

They should do a thing with these videos where the week before the tournament they do a poll for a "wildcard" player that will have highlights done on them, just to mix it up. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing these videos, but we never get to see a lot of the other players' games unless they are in the lead or hit a shot of the day.

This should have been -5 or -6 with decent putting, hope he gets comfortable with the spider putter soon and starts making some putts

I was there today and he was absolutely dreadful with the putter. Hope to see him doing better soon.

A lot of missed reads on the putting surface, couple unlucky lip outs and yet he can save par on the long range putts, not the spider putter at fault its concentration, the rest of his game is better than last week anyway

What putter did Rory use growing up? (Or at least what style?) Because I've heard you can tinker with your clubs all you like but don't ever switch your putter. Not sure if it's true!

He left at least 10 putts out there and he still shot a 69. A few more rolls in and he easily could have shot 64.

It could have been a 57 If he would have putted good that day. Like IT was a Three putt from 10 feet
