Something I noticed when watching the movie was that (as far as I saw), Jake and Spider were the only two characters who had their hair in dreadlocks. I don't know if it necessarily means anything, but it was interesting to notice regardless.

The fact that Jake now has locs doesn't surprise me. That can happen over time. What confuses me is the fact that it happened in such a short span of time. How did he get long locs so quickly? (emphasis on long because his hair barely touched his shoulders in "Avatar" and now his locs nearly touch his lower back.)
